Mudguards Front mudguard The front mudguard, made of 0.8 mm steel sheeting, is one of the characteristic details of the 1934 model. It can easily be recognised for its snub nosed shape, the front end of the mudguard following the wheel’s curvature and from its deep and entirely flat sides. A mud flap is mounted on the front mudguard. Rear mudguard The rear mudguard is, like the front mudguard, made of 0.8 mm steel sheeting. The top of the mudguard is almost flat. Longitudinally, the top of the mudguard follows the wheel’s arch from the hinge until near the rear light, and continues straight from there.
Rear mudguard, please note the recess for the brace of the passenger seat at the bulge of the hinge.

A 5.5 mm x Ø 16.5 mm recess is made in
the bulge of the hinge The hole for the wiring to the rear light does not have the later trumpet shape. Presumably, the first mudguards did not have this hole for the wire to the rear light, because some pictures show the wires running over the rear mudguard before entering the rear light.
